 OK so i am going to put some facts here.There are over 9 million different possible positions after three moves each. There are over 318 billion different possible positions after four moves each. The number of distinct 40-move games in chess is far greater than the number of electrons in the observable universe. Chess was invented by Grand Vizier Sissa Ben Dahir and gifted to the Indian King Shirham, also known as Shahram. Chess is an acronym for Chariot(rook), Horse( knight), Elephant(bishop) and Soldiers(pawns). The word “Checkmate” in chess originates from the Persian phrase “Shah Mat,” which means “the King is dead.” The record of moves without capture is of 100 moves during the Match between Thornton and M. Walker in 1992. Out of the 7 billion people that exist on Earth, about 600,000,000 people know how to play chess worldwide. The newest chess move in which the pawn can move two steps instead of one at the start was introduced back in 1280 in Spain. This move is known as ‘en passant’ in French and means ‘in passing’.
