How to counter the Italian game

Hi guys welcome back to my blog today this is my second thumbnail so pls tell me below in the comments if you like it. The Italian game starts with e4 then e5 then Nf3 Nc6 Bc4. In this blog we will be talking a few ways you can counter the Italian game.
The Anti fried liver defense:
The Anti fried liver defense is one of my favorite counters against the Italian. It starts with e4 e5 Nf3 Nc6 Bc4 Now black goes pawn h6 preventing the Knight from going to g5.
White typically want to go to g5 then h7 forking the queen and king but h6 stops the from happening. Now white will normally just castle, Then black can go d6 preparing to develop the white squared bishop.
The Fried Liver:
Sometimes when you are playing against the Italian game people try to play the fried liver here is how to counter.
Fried Liver Attack:
taking the pawn on d5 is a mistake because it allows the Knight to go Nf7!.
When you go d5 and they take the d5 pawn with their pawn a common mistake is taking the Pawn with the Knight the top engine move is Nb5 this attacks the Bishop forcing it to move. This is one of the best ways to stop fried liver.
The Blackburne Shilling Gambit:
The black shilling gambit is a very aggressive opening and a great counter against the the Italian Game. It starts with e4 e5 Nf3 Nc6 Then you play Nd4 White typically will typically take the pawn on e5 with the Knight planning on forking the queen and rook. Now you play Qg5 and white will Go Nf7 forking the Queen and rook. BUT now Black should go Qg2 so now you have to protect your rook or its mate so they go Rf1. Now you can go Qxe4+ now they block with the bishop and you go Nf3#
it is a risky opening but its worth trying.
Conclusion:
In conclusion i think that the Anti Fried liver is best counter because it practically puts white in a cramped position.Plus you have more developed pieces and control more squares. Now that you have finished this blog hopefully you know a little more about the Italian game and how to counter it. Have a good day share my blog with others.
