Last Week's Puzzles Update

Around a week ago chess.com released a new version of the puzzles feature on their app. Since then I've been glued to the puzzles like never before. Today I want to discuss this new update.

What did puzzles look like before?

Before the update the puzzles section was styled similarly to the website. This is a simple design which is functional but isn't the most motivating to do your puzzles. At the start of using puzzles this design didn't affect my motivation but over time I started doing less puzzles.

What does puzzles look like in the app now?

After the update puzzles has been divided into levels for which you earn points through a point system along with the normal puzzles rating. You can now develop answer streaks, get an extra 30 points for solving 3 puzzles per day and get extra points for solving harder puzzles. This points system next to the rating system has helped me regain motivation after having reached a puzzle plateau. 

Overall I'm really pleased to see the app improving and am looking forward to improving my puzzle skills!
