My 3 worst losses

Hi! Welcome back to my blog!

In this post I will cover my three 3 worst or most embarrassing losses in the standrad game format so no 3+ check, crazyhouse, chess960, etc. losses will be included. One of these was deliberate while others were caused by my stupidity.

Tigerchess2022 - Rapid

In this game both Tigerchess and I played ridiculously but we did so intentionally. We discovered that we both didn't have the checkmate by castling achievement so we decided to help each other get it. First we played a game in which I would get the achievement, in this game we both had low accuracies but nothing spectacularly low. Check this blog to see the first game. In the second game the goal was for me to let Tigerchess mate me by castling. To do this I had to run my king to the bank rank of white. This is of course not the best way to play and Stockfish disliked my moves so much it gave me 00.0 accuracy for this game. The game started with the Napoleon Attack after which I made the first abnormal move, Ke6 (a mistake taking away the advantage I would have had if this were a normal game). Over the next moves I made mistakes and many many blunders. These blunders were moving my king while the mistakes were similar to mistakes I would make in normal games. In this game Tigerhchess had 6 misses because of not mating me earlier. Game review predicted both our ratings to be 100 and gave us both accuracies lower than 20.0.

OmarVahidov - Bullet

This game was not like a normal game. I had all the normal pieces but Omar Vahidov had a large material disadvantage. He had no pawns and no rooks. WHY? Before this game I had played Omar Vahidov many times and whenever he got the chance he would go ahead and promote all his pawns to rooks and make me hope for stalemate (this barely happened sad.png). He would then proceed to mate me with all his rooks. So for this game I decided to challenge him to play me without rooks or pawns to prevent this from happening again. In this game my accuracy wasn't really bad, 83.8 but the embarrassment of losing after you had a huge material advantage is large. Omar Vahidov got an accuracy of 100.0 in this game! In this game my stress from the low time control got the best of me again and caused me to make a huge blunder which took me from a winning position to an instant mate. This game was quick, only 14 moves, and we both played very neatly for the whole of the game until my blunder which gave Omar Vahidov the only great move in the game.

SEHOONE - Daily

In this game I was black just like in the first one. This game has little history and I simply played it in my phase of accepting lots of daily matches. So why is this game in this blog? My accuracy in this game was less than 30.0 which is quite bad. The game is quite funny because SEHOONE's accuracy was only 51.5 so we both played like crazy magicians. The game started with 1.e4 so I played the Caro-Kann (I was experimenting with this opening at the time of the game) to get hit by the Hibility Attack, a variation I did not yet know how to respond to. After this I blundered and white got the advantage. The game continued balanced until my rook and queen were forked, again something I had rarely encountered and didn't know how to prevent. For the rest of the game white had the advantage until I was finally mated 24 moves into the game with a great move.
