Recently, a tournament FREE WORLD LEAUGE 3+2 18 / 23  took place in which numerous clubs participated including the one I belong to CFP(Chess Federation of Pakistan). However, chess, com blocked our CFP club's player, it is evident that he implemented an unfair policy, which we generally refer to as cheating. I noticed that a Pakistani player was representing the other club and performing exceptionally well....I was surprised & also jealous...I immediately sent a direct message to inquire about the situation. I asked if they would be interested in representing our club. His response forced me to write this blog today.
Here is the response......

''My name is Tariq Mughal. I am playing chess since 1986. My FIDE rating was 2110. And now it is gone because of irresponsible Pakistani Organizers. I left Pakistani chess long time ago. Now, enjoying chess on internet. Hope you don't mind for all this conversation. recently I have participated in PSO Sindh Qualifying Championship. Do you know what happened there. I have provided the New Coverage of a TV channel and just asking for some words of thanks for the coverage but you know, instead of this the organizers are even did not recognized that effort and when I send the video clip of that news to President, and Arbitor of that championship. the president send me only a thumb icon. and Arbitor said you have sending this news too late and also you have to send it to me first. so, you tell me what is the benefit for all of this''.

Now you tell me why they did this. Whatever, it was very wrong. Do you understand the purpose behind all this exposure? Why is Pakistan unable to produce Grand Masters? Why are we lagging so far behind other countries even though we have no shortage of talent? we are literally wasting our own talent.

While it may be true that Pakistan has not produced any GMs in chess as compared to other countries, it is important to consider several factors that can affect a country's chess development.

We need to focus on building a solid chess infrastructure that includes establishing good chess clubs, ensuring the presence of experienced coaches, organizing regular tournaments, & better opportunities for growth and improvement. Exposure to high-level competition and experienced opponents is vital to a player's development. If players from a particular country do not have enough opportunities to compete against strong international opponents, this can hinder their development and limit their chances of achieving a GM title.

Chess is not widely recognized or encouraged here it is not given the same importance or attention as other activities, diverting potential talent elsewhere. Mafia can be found everywhere in Pakistan...... so it is also in chess. & they don't support the deserving player... they just need power, money & monopoly......

Well....Chess Federation should actively engage with high-rated players, seeking their input, and valuing their contributions to the game. Recognizing and honoring their achievements will promote a positive and supportive chess culture within the country.

One more thing...we should play games with integrity and avoid cheating. What benefit is there in winning through cheating?? huh? Ppl may see you as a hero, but your conscience says you are zero & you know very well there is no value of zero. Waqt barbaad, paisa hazam, blog khatam!!!
