Hello everyone! I will try to post more diligently now that otb is back in my State!

On July 17th I played my first otb tournament since February of 2020!

It wasn't a big tournament with about 20 people and no prize money sad.png but better tournament are coming soon! The time control was 3 round G/30+5 and then the 4th and final round was G/45 no delay. Before I head into the games I would like to add we had an issue with the clocks in the first round. This made it so there wasn't any increment! I didn't know this until I was really low on time, because I was banking on increment. Another note: near the end of some of the games I couldn't continue notation because we were low on time. Comment down below if you would like to see something other then just otb tournaments on this blog. I am open to suggestions! I hope you enjoy the games!

That last one was depressing but I know I played well, and I still learned something. It's just too bad I lost because of a clock issue. Unfortunately I got a really low pairing next, so there isn't much to talk about the next game.

At least this game gave me a break for the next two rounds. Unfortunately it isn't much practice. Next two games are a lot more interesting so stick around!

This was a refresher! This goes to show that with an amazing position the tactics will come.

Next round was interesting.....

That's it! The first game was depressing, but I still tied for second place and went from a 1347 to a 1441. I am still underrated in my opinion, and I am hoping to play well in the next several tournaments to bring my rating up a lot more.

I hope you all enjoyed another one of my blog posts! Comment down below what you though of the games! I plan to do more otb tournaments in August. Have a good day! Josh Price
