What I Like about Magnus Carlsen

Surprisingly, I'm not that big of a Magnus Carlsen fan. Something doesn't seem to resonate with me in terms of how much enthusiastic support his dreams were met with during his youth. Nothing personal against the guy, infact he is quite brilliant. 8 Years ago, when I was around 16 years of age, he creamed me in some online chess matches (I may get into the PGNs and games later in a blog post if I decide to). At the time, the guy was almost like playing a computer. Infact, now he is still maintaining top status. The thing that I do see in Magnus is he was bullied alot by his peers for being different, and the prevails of his geniusness probably makes his bullies look like fools at this point. Though I don't see him having as dramatic of a story as let us say Bobby Fischer, Magnus has his own levels of brilliance that while I'm not too big of a fan, I can say I admire his mental stamina and what he did for the game of Chess.
