Why PGN Notation is so Important

PGN notation is one of the greater inventions in relation to the game of chess. It allows people not just to learn from past mistakes from their game moves, but makes the recording of all chess games in general much easier and convenient. It also played a huge role in training chess engines as well as creating databases of past historical chess games. The mathematician who contributed to it, has yet to receive the legendary status he deserves. Let us all take a moment thanking the late Steven Edwards.
