In part 1, I analyzed 6 correspondence chess (daily chess) games that I played in 2020. In part 2, I will analyze the other 6. If you would like to take a look at part 1, please click this link: https://www.chess.com/blog/RALRAL3333/i-analyzed-12-games-in-6-days-part-1

Here are the next 6 games:

Game 7: This was an exciting game that saw me gain an advantage in the middlegame with connected central pawns. My opponent made it difficult for me to break through, but I played more accurately and gained a considerable advantage before blowing it away due to miscalculation resulting from interpreting the game in an incorrect way.

Game 8: This game went from a closed game to an open one, and play happened on all sides of the board. Neither side could get a winning attack although I had an opportunity to but missed it. In the end, the pieces were traded down to a drawn endgame after both sides held resistance to each other's attacking ideas
Game 9: In this game, I played with the initiative as white, trying to break into the position. I played actively and my opponent was forced to defend, but defended quite well. The result was an even position, but I played with strong ideas and plans and was able to execute them at the end

Game 10: If you want to really look at one game from this entire post and the one before it, THIS IS THE ONE. The opening and middlegame were quite instructive, but then the endgame was something beautiful. If you want to deeply analyze a game, especially the endgame and see zugzwang, cool drawing techniques, calculation, etc. then this is the game for you. After analyzing it, I can say that this is my FAVOURITE game of 2020, despite the fact that I lost. Take a look at this and you will not be disappointed.
Game 11: In this game, I went off of theory early on purpose, and a very positional game ensued. The position was mostly closed, but not completely. Some of the ideas in the game were ceasing central activity, and activity on the queenside and kingside. It would have been a very close game as it would be difficult to fully commit to one area of the board. The game ended in a draw.

Game 12: This was a very exciting game to play! It was very tactical and I had to calculate a lot, but analyzing it now and I see this game was so much more complex than I ever could have imagined. Some of the combinations that the computer came up with in the analysis blew my mind. While this game might not be the best for learning, it is certainly without a doubt entertaining to look at all of the crazy variations that could have happened!

Overall, there were some extremely helpful and entertaining games in the second half of the 12 games I analyzed! I'd say that these ones were even more interesting than the first set. Games 10 and 12 were something I did not expect at all when I analyzed them and made me realize that analyzing games thoroughly is important - when I first played these games, I analyzed them only briefly afterwards and missed most of the things that I covered in this analysis.

I've never tried to analyze this much at once but for 2021 I'd like to make a goal to myself to analyze more of my games thoroughly like this. Hope you enjoyed looking through the analysis and Happy New Year!
