Hikaru’s Departure From The Chess Community.

I don’t usually make blogs based on chess events or chess in general, so that’s how detrimental Hikaru’s departure is to me.

I would like to say my take and opinion on him first.

He was truly an amazing grandmaster, one the reasons I’ve started chess. Seeing how fast he can calculate is honestly a bit funny and brilliant. I’m sad to see him departure, especially after his impact on the chess community. If you’re an active member in CVC, you would know how devastating those members left. Well, that’s not that much compared to Hikaru leaving! He’s been entertaining the chess world for many years, and garnered millions of fans that probably are now great chess players.

Now why did he leave? Well, you would know he’s a married man and a new father. He said he wanted to pay more attention to his new born, since a child needs their father’s love. Though him leaving is devastating to us children, it would be more devastating for him to not spend time with family. In our perspective, it’s a sad thing, but for his perspective, it is sad, but better for him in the long run.

We should all do something to honor him, make our pfp something that resembles him, or create a post explaining how much we appreciated him! That is one way to show our gratitude and let him know we support him. 
Do not go beg for him to come back, or attack him in any way. Family’s important than about everything, so it was a good decision on his part.
