Phases in learning chess, Phase Fourteen

This board game is really a world of its own. Like another dimension, a reflection of the world. It seems so simple but even after four decades one keeps learning more and missing moves all the time, well that's maybe just me, maybe I am getting worse at this game in stead of better. It doesn't really matter it's fun...

And getting our club back on track is fun too, even if it is frustrating sometimes as well, we put a lot of work in to it and then another account gets closed, which might lose the club a match or even the chance to get to play offs. And why? Because one would like a higher number next to their name... which one can't get without some computer help, wake up that's not you! I really can't fathom the people that cheat in a game played for fun, I mean if they would make their living with it I could understand it, not like it, but at least understand it. This is all the reason we had a 'Sherlock' in our team since the start and still do, none of us wants those kind of players in the team. And seriously if anyone is such, leave before you get caught and harm others with it as well. Ok, rant over. Club life is fun, seeing matches fill up with players, getting a competitive line up with which we can actually win. Getting opponents of comparable strength and even if you lose your games, still having a chance to win that match. Since I started playing in team matches I joined drastically fewer tournaments. Team matches get you playing side by side with mates versus others. Join our club if you haven't yet...

Some chess games; I am a weird player, I actually prefer playing with black. Specifically if I get a chance to play Sicilian... I simply love the lines in just about any variation I have seen. Especially the Dragon is fun, but after seeing GM Fabien Libiszewski's lessons about the Kalshnikov variation I have been trying to get into that position, alas people don't like to cooperate and I always end up in other lines. Still, by now I definitely have had advantages from the lessons in How To Play The Sicilian Kalashnikov (GM @Fablibi) and The Fighting Dragon (IM @Keaton87), also in games which only were similar. I simply love the versatile games with complicated twists. Here some Sicilian games I won over the years by checkmate. Just some that I liked, I won a whole lot more with black...

Some games I loved playing and also watching them again...

Next time: my pawn checkmates ... I love that Ambitious Pawn ...
