What is your favourite (chessmaster) author?

Ironically it seems I will see history repeating, when Freddie Mercury died I was just before puberty and got to know Queen's music consciously for the first time, needless to say I became a fan.

Now, last week, Grandmaster, and former Chess World Ranking number 2, Jan Timman died. A more wellknown player and author then I knew. Now I ordered a first book written by him. (Schaakwerk 1 resp.) In my own native language that one, many of his books are in English originally. So it seems again I become a fan after someone passes away. Come to think of it, all my heroes are dead people save for two: my mother and my favourite DJ/Producer are still life and kicking. Hopefully for many years...

Now I am wondering, which good books will I miss forever because you didn't point it out to me?
