the thrill of the sand after the rain

did the science discover this great fact :

Allah said :(this is the translation)

And you see the earth barren, but when We send down water (rain) on it, it thrills and stirrs (to life), it swells and puts forth every lovely kind (of growth).

And of His portents (is this): that you see the earth lowly, but when We send down water thereon it thrill and grow. Lo! He Who quicken it is verily the Quicken-er of the Dead. Lo! He is Able to do all things.
