STOP Playing the Wayward Queen Attack
Sometimes when I play blitz or bullet chess, I see this as black: 1.e4 e5 2.Qh5. This is NOT GOOD. The immediate threat is that after g3, white will take on e5 and fork your rook and king. If black plays Nf6, white plays Bc4 and after Nc6, white will deliver checkmate on f7. These opening traps won't fly after you get past 200 elo. This is one of those openings you fall for once, and then learn how to defend from it. Here's how: 1.e4 e5 2.Qh5 Nf6 3.Bc4 and NOW you can play g3 because the knight guards e4. The queen falls back to f3 to try to get you again on f7. Block with the knight to c6, and sometimes they will play g4. Aggressive. Play knight to d4, attacking the queen and trying to get a fork of pieces on c2. If they play something without the queen, play Nxc2+! Forking the king, queen, and rook. You can even premove to take the queen because there is nothing they can do to save it. After you take, finish developing and win the game. If you play the wayward queen, please don't. It doesn't fly after 200 elo and you can easily defend from it. Here are the final moves to beat the Wayward: 1.e4 e5 2.Qh5 Nf6 3.Bc4 g3 4.Qf3 Nc6 5.g4 Nd4 6.___ Nxc2+ 7.Ke2 Nxf3.
