Chess Versus Checkers, what's better?

Chess is a game that requires lots of thinking and skill to play and win but so does Checkers. Both are played on a checkered board and can be mastered by anyone. But the question still remains: Which is better? Obviously, since this is a chess website chess would be, however, people can disagree with this statement, what do you all think?
