My Favorite Chess openings.

There are hundreds of openings for both white and black to play. Many are great, and many are horrible. Here are a few I like to use in an attempt to get an upper hand in the beginning stages of the game.

The Italian Game:

Probably the more common opening for many Chess players to start the game with an immediate control over the center.

I also enjoy this opening because it opens up the possibility of kinda playing the "Legals trap"

The Sicilian Game:

Also another popular opening that controls the center for White. This is fun because it's an easy and simple start to the game.

The Scandinavian Defense:
This is yet again another E4 opening for white and an aggressive opening for black which immediately challenges for central control.
This is a fun little opening for black because it can cause a lot of irritations toward the opponent:
or
the opening causes white to lose time while black kicks the knight and doesn't allow white the chance to put any central pawns at the moment.
Four knights Game;
Another classic opening that requires the E4 pawn.
allows both sides to central squares and it looks nice.
The Scotch Gambit:
Another E4 opening that like the Scandinavian, aggressively attacks the center with another pawn.
I like this opening the best because it can follow up with either a good position or a checkmate.
Position:
Checkmate:

Obviously there are many other exceptional openings anyone can play, and there are Grand masters that can do a better job explaining these openings in depth to anyone than I did. But this is the most simple explanation I can make of them. If y'all want a better explanation of these openings and more traps to choose from, check out the Chess.com openings lessons and the grand master lessons located on the Chess.com website.
