Queen Trap Gone Wrong Gone Right
3 Years ago I blogged about a game where after making what seemed at first to be a terrible one move blunder losing the exchange was actually a pretty cool trap that ended up winning my opponent's queen and the game. https://www.chess.com/blog/RiddlesMcFiddles/my-luckiest-game-ever
After 3 years of regular playing my rating has gone up and my tactical awareness has improved a tonne. In this game, I thought I played a cool knight sacrifice trapping my opponent's queen but I had missed a move in my calculations which traded queens and after the sequence, I was a pawn down, but I had gained a passed pawn and a winning advantage. I believe this to be my luckiest game.
It all starts here:
I thought this whole combination was really cool and will admit luck was involved in playing it out. I hope you enjoyed seeing it
