Welcome back evryone for today's blog we will be looking at our new champion who is ranked #3 in the world but before he was ranked #4 in the world so for today let's look at Arjun Erigaisi and his side of story and if u all were watching norway chess then u saw that Arjun had defeated none other than the world champion Gukesh D and even i do not know much about him let's look at his story
The amazing story of Arjun Eraigaisi :
Arjun Erigaisi is a 21-year-old Indian chess grandmaster from Warangal, Telangana, who has rapidly ascended to the upper echelons of global chess. Born on September 3, 2003, (omg my bday month) he began his chess journey at the age of 11, training under his father, Dr. E. Srinivas Rao, a neurosurgeon, and honing his skills at the BS Chess Academy in Hanamkonda. Recognizing his potential, Arjun's family supported his dedication to the game, leading him to drop out of college in December 2021 to pursue chess full-time .(a lot of chess players do that then why not arjun)
Arjun's rise in the chess world has been meteoric. He earned his Grandmaster title in 2018 at the age of 14 years, 11 months, and 13 days, becoming one of the youngest to achieve this feat. His breakthrough year came in 2022, with victories at the Tata Steel Challengers and the Indian Chess Championship, marking him as a formidable force in classical chess .

Now if u guys were watching norway chess then u guys saw how Wei Yi and Gukesh lost to Arjun and the Gukesh vs Arjun game is more interesting so let's see the position :
As u can see in this position white is winning and if black takes the knight then king takes back and if black tries to stop the pawn from promoting that is ok becoz black has 2 extra pawns if u stop one then the other one will walk away and at this moment of time Gukesh resigned and Arjun was very happy and Gukesh probably broke the hearts of his fans but i was on no ones side so no emotional damage for me . And at that moment infront of the media ARjun who was happy and Gukesh who was speechless.

this is the time when Arjun won with magnus (omg) he could not belive it that he had beaten Magnus and now let's look at the position:
