GC: History, Death, and Revival
Good Chess was founded in early 2022 by @Waterstone33. Around a day after it's creation, @Wolfheart32 received a message saying that his club Rookie Chess was a club that his 3-member group would like to have help from.
He sent him back a link to the Unofficial Chess Club Service Desk, a long-dead club that is still helpful for club owners starting up.
He joined and left because he had been keeping tabs on it. Soon it doubled in size, and soon it had 300 members. he joined and left, just to see how it was doing, and it apparently didn't need my help.
It shoved itself a place in the top 60 in vote chess, and it soon was one of the best clubs to join on chess.com.
So that's what he did.
But soon after, Waterstone decided to gamble the club based on a chess game against @Happymastermike, stating that he would disable the club if he lost. But the Happymaster would close his account if he won.
But Happymastermike was almost 1000 elo above him, and inevitable loss faced him.
The members of the club were upset and insisted on an election.
They elected @Zpro08 as owner, and threatened to leave if it wasn't changed. So @Waterstone33 gave him owner, and the club wasn't deleted.
He didn't do much, so the next time the elections went around the bend we made @Waterstone33 owner again.
@Puchecammae, one of the club's Super Admins, had problems with his computer and couldn't work with the club for several months. After that, he rejoined and was promoted again.
But it was too late. People forgot that they were even in the club, and he threatened once again to delete the club if it wasn't revived in 7 days. Zpro08 promoted some members to admin, including me.
One of the coordinators left, and the SA, @Puchecammae left in anger from his unfair demotion.
he had no time for a dead club, so he stepped down and was no longer an admin. A week later, he left the useless club.
The club was so different, that Waterstone changed the name to He's That Guy.
Why? he have no idea except this message that I was given when he left.

Why would he rename a club because of that?
Dozens of members left each week. Now all that he's left with are 548 inactive members that don't care what clubs they are in.
he enjoyed the club before it had died, and he am reviving it along with @Queen_NC, @Zpro08, @ZzzlegendZzz, and @Disguisedtoast. They were all once active GC members, and now members are joining faster than Waterstone's club ever had.
