Although I already posted this game in the forums, I wanted to put this as part of my blog. It is one of the strongest games that I have played against high rated opposition. What made this game tougher is that Josh is one of my good friends and we play each other 1 - 2 times a week for a few hours outside of club. Therefore we both know each other's opening prep and Josh decided to change it up by trying to play a Nimzo. I never allow the Nimzo and I prefer either QG positions, Maroczy Bind positions, or as in the game, Bogo-Indian positions. I am disappointed that I did not finish him off. He played extremely well in defense while down a piece for 2 pawns, but I missed two crushing hammer blows that would have ended things nicely at two different points of the game. Regardless, it was a great game and a fun one to play through and analyze.
