The Most Over-Rated Game of 2015

In the middle of 2015, a few simply fabolous games were played. Perhaps the most astonishing was the one played by Wei Yi against Bruzon Batista, and this is one I hope to cover in a later blog.

However, another game received almost as much attention. Super-GM David Navara scored an interesting victory against GM Wotjaszek. Navara's king walked all over the board! See for your self:

However, in my opinion this game is very over-rated. Yes, it was quite a shocking king walk, but at some point Wotjaszek had at least a draw.

Instead of focusing on this game too much, I want to offer an alternative King Walk. We can safely call Navara's game "The Best King-Walk of 2015", but in my opinion the best king walk of all time is this rather unknown game:

To be sure, both games are quite incredible. But although my readers will disagree, the second is probably the better king walk!
