So, There some points I need to show you before talking about the Blackburne Shilling Gambit:

• Played by Black against the famous King's pawn opening
• Ends with a smothered mate
• Sacrifices a pawn

The first set of moves comes from the most popular first move of all time, 1. e4 e5, fighting for control of the center, these moves allow for early development like allows the bishop to diagonals to eye down weak squares(such as f7 or f2).
