Hello fellow chess players,

New news:  This is my first structure of 16. More details are in all the other structures I've made by the time you read this.

In todays lesson we are going to look at how to play with Isolani or Isolated Queen's pawn.

The Isolani comes out of d4 openings such as the Queen's gambit declined. It is one of the most common pawn structure if not the most common. Below is a few thing you will need to know, even if you don't play 1.d4

White's plans:

1.Create a kingside attack. Plans include Ne5 and Bg5 and the Bc2-Qd3 battery

2.Attack in the center with the d4-d5 pawn push so your rooks and queen control the C, D, and E-file

Black's plans:

1.Trade pieces to be in a winning position in the endgame especially white's light Bishop              2. Place knight on d5 to prevent d4-d5

The next pawn structure I will do is Hanging pawns. Thankyou!
