Hi everyone! It's me again, SP_Chess_Gamer! Today, I'll will show you how to play 12 Sharp Chess!

You can watch this video in youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsSwCNiJGpw

I. Rules:

1. The rules are the same as regular chess except for these changes. Layout a 12 by 12 plus shaped board with a dark square in the bottom right. Set up each player’s pawns on their 3rd row. On their 2nd row, from left to right, setup: knight, bishop, archbishop, archbishop, bishop, knight. On the first row: rook, chancellor, king, queen, chancellor, rook. The red player goes first, then play proceeds counterclockwise.

2. The archbishop has the combined moves of a bishop and knight. The chancellor has the combined moves of a rook and knight. No piece may move or capture diagonally through any of the 4 inside corners of the board. Each player’s 3 by 6 starting area is called their “camp”. Knights may not travel from one camp to another camp in a single move.

3. Pawns promote upon reaching their 9th row. Castling is not allowed. En passant is allowed like normal for the opponent directly across from you. You are checkmated when the player who is about to move is threatening your king. You lose and remove all your pieces from the board, then the player who mated you continues their turn as normal. You are allowed to move into check, and you do not need to move your king out of check if you don’t want to. The last player remaining, wins!

This is the end of the blog! See you next time, bye!   Other blogs
