Why do people compare your ratings with actual ELO?

Bro I've seen a lot of people compare your ratings with actual ELO. And WHY?! But I want to tell something. Suppose....... someone's got  200 as their rating (any time control) and don't fall for the scholars mate.....I don't (I'm 1400 ELO, NOT RATING) LOL why and they think I'm dumb (they ARE 2000 rated) but don't think of actual ELO cuz only STOCKFISH can tell.

Ratings are just points ( you get any rating as per the skill level you are signed up with) but some do what they are NOT (even my friend didn't bother to select NEW TO CHESS when he is ADVANCED and he HAS a title. I mean ARENA INTERNATIONAL MASTER and well he's a failed GM) but let's not worry about that. ( his name is GMSraavan-Nair in chess.com) Anyway, it's just what they think cuz most people sign up to THEIR level. So next time if you see my rating then don't think in the wrong way.
