How to Create Custom Positions in 4 Player Chess

It is always fun to play chess variants. But what about a different position? In 4 Player Chess, it is possible to customize positions. Here are instructions for how to create a custom position.

1. Click the button that says "4 Player Chess" on the home screen.

2. Click the "New Game button in the upper left corner.

3. Click the "Custom" button in the pop-up.

4. Click the "Edit" button.

5. Scroll to the bottom.

6. Click on "Custom Starting Position".

7. Click the "Edit Position" button.

8. Customize the position! Click on a piece in the upper-right menu to select it, then click on a square on the board to add the piece. Drag the pieces off the board to remove them. To use fairy pieces, click on the large gray picture of a general to thr right of the pieces, then click on the color that you want to place.

9. Click the "New Game" button.

10. Click on the "Save as Template" button to save your position for later use.

11. Click on the "Play" button to play your custom position in a 4 Player Chess game!

12. If you and your opponents like your position and you want to play it rated, join the club 4PC Custom Games and use their instructions to make your position listed and playable in rated games.
