And when you play it out, what happens in the immortal never happens in your games. " says Roger436. He has a large point with this thought. Immortal games aren't perfect. For example, look at The Evergreen Game.

Is this really the truth about this game though? In fact, with LARGE analysis, you find that Rad1 is a mistake. What move is best for white?

With large analysis at depth 48 you find the best move for black against Rad1. What is it?

And these immortal games did last because the games were played in the 1800-1900's but we still review and remember them! They are very important because you get creative with them. The Opera Game! The Qxf3 from Morphy! Everything else.
