April Blitz & Memes
Hello, my fellow meme lovers, and welcome to another edition of Blitz & Memes. If you're a fan of tactics taken from amateur online blitz tournaments, then you have come to the right place, because that is what I do.
As always the puzzles have been pulled from the Japan Chess Federation's (we got a new name!!) monthly blitz tournament: TGIF Blitz. The tourney takes place on the 3rd Friday of every month, 21:00 JST, right here on chess.com. It is composed of seven rounds of blitz, with a time control of 3+2; and is open to all JCF club members.
The memes, on the other hand, were harvested from various sinks of the InterWebs...and with the "World Championship Match"...O_o...taking place this month, many have a similar theme.
Good luck trying to solve all five puzzles on the first attempt, one or two of these call for a high degree of accuracy.
So, without further ado, lets get to the Blitz & Memes.

CORNER POCKET
The first position of this month's tactics is taken from the third round; yuutin playing White is able to unleash an attack to finish the game in style.
Can you deliver the final blow?

Coordination
In the fifth round self-titled Memelord and serial blunderer SheldonOfOsaka, playing Black was able to upset his higher rated opponent.
Black's well coordinated pieces win material on the spot.

Nowhere to Run
In this second round encounter drsljones is able to capitalize on Black's last move, which leaves his king with...nowhere to run...if you will.
Can you take advantage of Black's cramped position?

For Fork's Sake
In this sixth round clash Yuutin playing White was able to unleash a devastating attack on Black's kingside.
Hint: there is gonna be a Fork...

C.O.E.
A wise man once said "Calculation Over Everythang", in this sixth round battle, IM rnanjo, playing Black, proves the veracity of this statement.
Can you calculate like an IM?
And that was it, that was April Blitz & Memes. Congratulations to IM rnanjo for winning with a perfect 7/7 score. And congrats to the few, the proud, the accurate you were able to solve all five puzzles on the first attempt. I'm hoping that you will join us Friday May 19th for TGIF Blitz May, I'm sure these IM and FMs don't stand a chance against your puzzle solving skills...
As always, thanks for reading and feel free to share these puzzles and memes with your friends down at the Library or Nightclub.
Cheers, SheldonOfOsaka.

Bonus
Yes, it's the game from the thumbnail. Enjoy.
