NOVEMBER BLITZ & MEMES

Hello, my fellow puzzle solvers; and welcome to another edition of Blitz & Memes. If you are a fan of solving puzzles taken from amateur online blitz tournaments, then you have come to the right place because that's all I do.

As always, these tactics are taken from the National Chess Society of Japan's monthly online blitz tournament. The tourney is held on the 3rd Friday of every month, consisting of 7 rounds of 3min 2 sec increment blitz.

While the memes are taken from the dark recesses of the interwebs.

Good luck trying to solve all five puzzles, there are a couple tricky ones; I've written suggestive titles and hints to help you along your way.

Without further ado, lets get to Blitz & Memes...

The position looks safe enough to me...What could possibly go wrong?!

UP FOR GRABS

WangMinqing making her Blitz & Memes debut; White thought he was forking the Queen and Knight...spoiler it doesn't work.

Hint: Whites Back Rank is weak.

Knights are tricky ponies...

THROWING HORSES

Yuutin is coming off a strong performance at the Japan Open; here he plays a certified Brilliant move.

Hint: Throw the Knight into the fray.

It was a hard Friday night for me...

NO OPTIONS

Another one from Yuutin, I told you he was hot...

Hint: The f2 pawn is weak.

A really hard Friday night...

AN OFFERING

Can you find the winning continuation that WangMinqing missed?

Hint: Your Rook is invincible

Lesson learned...

SOMETHING BETTER...

WangMinqing saved the trickiest for last...

Hint: Never mind the Queen.

And that was it, that was November Blitz & Memes. Congratulations to anyone who was able to solve all 5 puzzles on the first go, without looking at the Hints; you certainly are an incredible solver of tactics taken from online amateur blitz tournaments.

As always, thanks for reading and feel free to share these puzzles with your friends down at the Library or Bar.

Cheers, SheldonOfOsaka.

Congrats to Shiki_chess who won with a perfect score.
