Hello, my fellow Blitz & Meme lovers; welcome to another addition of TGIF Blitz. While the rest of the chess world was watching the opening day of the Candidates, another tournament was taking place. Arguably, less prestigious than the 2022 Candidates tournament, but no less hotly contested, TGIF Blitz June, an online chess tournament organized by the National Chess Society of Japan took place, as it always does on the 3rd Friday of the month. And without further ado, here are few tactics taken from those games. Enjoy and congratulations to anyone who can solve all 5 puzzles on the first try.

Yes, it's the pic from the thumbnail...

An easy one to start things off...

It's still sound advice...

Black should have played...Bd8, how to punish him for this slip?

My problem exactly...

Black's Queen is looking exposed...and his Back Rank is weak...what to do?

This is why they killed Harambe...

A difficult move to find...hint: a kitchen utensil.

Yup...it is pretty fast.

I suggest saccing something...anything.

And that was it, that was TGIF Blitz June...What did we learn? Don't Blunder, Not Blundering is easier said than done, we're all incredibly good at spotting Blunders after we play them...

As always thanks for reading, and congratulations to anyone who found all 5 solutions on the first try, you truly are an amazing solver of online puzzles.

Feel free to share these puzzles with your friends down at the Bar or Library.

Cheers, SheldonOfOsaka.

Congrats to IM rnanjo for winning with a perfect score.
