My Interview Of Life Master Viktors Pupols
I had the pleasure to interview Northwest Chess legend Viktors Pupols for the Northwest Chess Magazine.
A quick introduction: Viktors Pupols or known as uncle "Vik" among chess players was born in 1934. He won the Washington State Chess Championship four times. But he's probably best know for beating the young Bobby Fischer in 1955 at the US Junior Championship with the Latvian Gambit! He is also very good friends with GM Yasser Seirawan. In fact heir friendship goes way back in the 1970s when both would meet to play chess at the iconic Seattle Last Exit on Brooklyn coffee place.
Here is the video interview I did of him. Hope you guys enjoy.
