I always manage to mess up the opening when I play Nik, but then recover.  This is the first time I have not beaten him in a classical game.  I simply lost my way in the opening.

After he took on a3, I thought I would have much the better end game, but I could not see a way to pursue my apparent advantage that was not too risky to attempt, so a draw was a fair result.
