What your favourite chess piece says about you

Many of us prefer certain pieces over others, but what does your preference mean? Let's find out.

If you like the pawn, you always try to dominate the center with them. However, you hate killing with them, as it doubles up the pawns, and whenever you lose it's usually because you got so distracted trying to control the center you didn't notice your opponent setting up a checkmate.

If you like the bishop, you're kind of weird. You always try to sneak a bishop through your opponent's pawn setup, but once you manage to do that you realize your bishop is stuck there. Afterwards, you'll try to get your queen there too, so the bishop can help it checkmate, only to blunder and lose both of them.

If you like the rook, you always go for a laddermate, and somehow succed most of the time. Unfortunately, your defense is probably dog water.

If you like the queen, you're one to go full on offense mode. You believe in the saying, "offense is the best defense". You will immediately start setting up three different checkmates at once in the first 5 moves, and usually checkmate by getting your queen right next to the king with either a bishop, rook, or knight guarding it. However, you lack good defense, and you also focus way too much on eliminating your opponent's queen.

If you like the king, you're probably new to chess. You don't really know what to do, so you just try to defend the king as much as possible.

But if you like the knight, you're amazing, everyone loves you, and you will become a grandmaster someday. You are a god at going on a backrank genocide. You understand why the knight is better than the bishop, and you prove it!

Well, that's all the pieces. Tell me what your favourite piece is down in the comments!
