The below game is that of two people who are very little knows in the chess field- Helmer and Josef Emil Krejcik. I believe that Josef Emil Krejcik is a very good chess player and he is not getting credit for all his beautiful games. Hence, why I am writing an article on a game played by him which is beautiful and also short.

Not many people know of Helmer, who seems to be an amateur of that time. Only one game is found in his database and it is the one I am referring to.

Josef Emil Krejcik was an Austrian chess master, problemist, journalist and author. He was born in Vienna and participated in many tournaments before, during and after the first World War.

THE ABOVE IMAGE IS THAT OF JOSEF EMIL KREJCIK

This game involves sacrifices, Not of the queen but of other pieces to ensure the opening of the king's premises.

Here is the game that has not got much mention for, but is beautiful-

This adventurous game which features the White King going on a bit of a 'morning walk' can be explained like this-

Once upon a time there was a minor Kingwk.png who dreamed to conquer territories. He called his army the White Army. He decided to fight with a mighty strong Kingbk.png who called his army the Black army.

This is how the battle went-

The White Kingwk.png ordered one of his pawnswp.png to control the centre. The Black Kingbk.png asked his Knightbn.png to keep a watch on important places. The Knightbn.png faithfully obeyed. The White Kingwk.png asked one of his pawnswp.png to conquer a side. The Black Kingbk.png ordered one of his pawnsbp.png to surrender his life to the White Pawnwp.png as he had a plan to get more for the Pawnbp.png. The Pawnbp.png gave up his life for the Kingbk.png.The White Kingwk.png was elated and therefore he ordered his pawnwp.png to capture the opponent's pawnbp.png as he thought is was free. The Black Knightbn.png attacked the pawnwp.png which was defended my White's other Pawnwp.png.Black developed it's Bishopbb.png to threaten a strong attack. The White Knightwn.png defended it. The Black Knightbn.png valiantly sacrificed itself for the opponents pawnwp.png and was killed by White's Rookwr.png. The Black Queenbq.png attacked the White Kingwk.png, Who was forced to start his 'morning walk' a little earlier than usual.A Black Pawnbp.png controlled the centre and attacked a pawnwp.png which was defended by the White Queenwq.png.The Black Bishopbb.png sacrificed itself and was killed by the White Queenwq.png. The Black Queenbq.png slayed one of white's pawnswp.png in style. The White Kingwk.png continued his 'morning walk' and his Bishopwb.png was killed. He attacked the Black King bk.png with his Queenwq.png and Killed his Rookbr.png.The Black Queenbq.png attacked the White Kingwk.png and the attack was defended by the White Bishopwb.png.The Black Kingbk.png ordered his Knightbn.png to wake up.In this process, The White army who was greedy for members of the Black army killed the Black Rookbr.png.The Black Knightbn.png moved himself further towards the White Kingwk.png.The King continued it's 'morning walk' and was attacked by the Black Queenbq.png.The Kingwk.png again 'enjoyed' his frolicking and was attacked by the Black Pawnbp.png. He continued and alas, He was killed by the Black Bishopbb.png.

CONCLUSION-

This blog had been created to give a fun and interesting dimension to famous chess games, trying to not make them as boring as they seem. Of course, for some it is quite interesting, but for others, famous games are more of a flip-through thing. How many of us actually look through every move of games posted? We usually don't do this because we assume it is tedious and requires lot of study, but for most games we only require common understanding of chess.
