* The Plachutta is a deflecting move in chess which occur when a piece sacrifices itself on a square where it could be captured by one of two similarly moving opponents pieces moving along a different line ;

* For example, a bishop and a queen moving along a diagonal, or two rooks .

* Whichever opponent piece captures, it interferes with the other.
