Bestuzhev Index for Tata Steel
Predictions for @tatasteelchess based on "Bestuzhev index" (percentage of points in classical games against each other, as per chessgamescom data). @lachesisq is the only player to have classical games against all 13 opponents, and has best point percentage to boot. pic.twitter.com/ARHATsn0LC

Results as per chessgames.com data, pre-Tata Steel 2019.
Decided to put my recently-rechristened "Bestuzhev Index" to use. If we believe the numbers, Ian Nepomniachtchi must be considered a favourite of this Tata Steel tournament, even more so than Magnus Carlsen, and his start was indeed strong.
Of course, with so many pairings happening at Tata Steel for the first time ever (at least as classical chess is considered), anything can happen, but this method of prediction seems to be quite fun to use before major tournaments. A shorter time period instead of all-time results would be probably even more precise, but I don't have the tools to quickly calculate that.
