If you're reading this you're a chess player because this post is only on chess.com. Today I'll be naming the 10 types of chess players and tell me which one you are in the comments. You don't have to if you don't want to.

The resigner. This person will always be on the verge of losing a game and then just resign and leave. Or they'll make one wrong move at the start and pooth they're gone. Everyone hates these people and they shouldn't be allowed to play chess.

The Noob. This person will make the most crappy of crappy moves or just play horribly. They don't know how to play chess and they only joined 1 week ago. I know we've all met a player like this and I encountered one recently when I was playing as white, they did this...

After that move they just resigned.

The player that thinks they're a pro. This person will come into a game thinking they're Magnus Carlsen, even though they only have a rating of 1200. They'll say in the chat, 'Oh I'm so good at chess, just look at my defense.' They also always boast about how many achievements and awards they have. These people are some of the most annoying players on the website.

The Journalist/influencer. This kind of person will hardly ever play and just answer forums and write blogs all day, just trying to get popular instead of learning how to play chess. In my opinion some of these people get news about the chess world out to us while the others just create crappy blogs that nobody reads. They should just be playing or learning.

The sweat. The sweat is someone who plays hours of chess a day and tries really hard to get a higher rating. They sometimes succeed but other times they lose hundreds of rating points. No one really has any beef with this person but they might get grumpy if they play too much, so beware of this player when they are grumpy.

The wholesome one. The wholesome guy is the person who'll agree to a draw if you need to have dinner or need to work on something. I love these kinds of people but they are hard to come across. I actually came across one recently. I was finishing up reading but I was in the middle of a chess game, so I asked if we could make a draw and he said 'sure bro.' It really made my day.

The puzzler. The puzzler is someone who just does puzzles and doesn't care about the game itself. It is someone who waits every day for the daily puzzles and then does puzzles rush for an hour. I don't really have care about this guy, but get off your computer and touch some grass.

The Normal. The normal person is someone who does pretty much everything, they'll play a bit of chess, do some puzzles and write some posts. This is the most common type of chess.com player. This person might also be very active on chess.com and do lots of stuff for the community.
