
March 2025 - Chess Progress Recap
March was an exciting and productive month for my chess journey! Here’s a reflection on my progress and key achievements:
๐ Published My First Chessable Course
I officially released Mastering Chess: Tactics, Strategies, and Triumphs on Chessable! This course won the Best Beginner Course award in CYOC 2023 on Chessable, and I’m thrilled to see it finally available for learners. It has already received three 5/5-star reviews!

๐ Elo Progress
I gained +31 Elo this month, increasing my FIDE rating from 1680 to 1711. Every point counts, and I’m happy with the steady progress!
โ๏ธ OTB Tournament Results
I competed in two classical over-the-board tournaments, both with a 1h + 30s increment time control:
๐ Open Austral (Reunion Island) – 7 rounds

Scored 4.5/7, finished 10th out of 48 players.
๐ผ Rating Change: +4 Elo.
๐ Republic Cup (Mauritius) – 6 rounds

Scored 4.5/6, finished 7th out of 64 players.
๐ผ Rating Change: +27 Elo.
๐ Chessable Course Completed
I completed Endgame Studies 101 by IM Kostya Kavutskiy. Here’s my review:

โ๏ธ Some lines that did not work were not covered, but they were interesting tries.
โ๏ธ Two clickables were broken, but I reported them to Chessable, and they were fixed.
