Once a Pawn a Time
A little background: I started playing chess just a couple years ago when my boyfriend (a life-long chess player) taught me. It was a classic, "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em," situation but it turned out great when I discovered I love chess-- oh, and him! And I've been falling more in love with both ever since!
The plan: The goal of this blog is to raise awareness of women in chess and talk about what we go through as female chess players. Come on ladies, we have to stick together. Also, I'll definitely be throwing in some other stuff like current chess games, interesting stories, and such. So look out. I'll start out just posting on Mondays and if I get enough interest and feedback, I'll bump it up!
What I'd love for you to do: Don't just read my stuff, tell me about you! What are your experiences as a woman in chess? What do you wish were available to you as a female chess player? Do you have any fun stories to share? I'd love to hear them!
Until next time...
