Please note: I’m not sponsored in anyway by this place, I’m wouldn’t make a dime off of this, no matter how big it gets, i’m just a guy who likes eating.

This HAS To Be the Best Fried Chicken in L.A. (Yeah, I said that,)

I know EXACTLY what you’re thinking: “The BEST fried chicken in L.A.? Come on.”
But just listen for a second. Or read, whatever. It’s not an overstatement, and once you try it, you’ll get it. The place is called Kagure, and it’s cozied right between a boba shop and a 99 Ranch Market. It’s the kind of restaurant you might walk past without batting an eye... but that’d definitely be a mistake.

So, what makes Kagure so good anyway?
Unlike spots for example like Katsu Jin that’d rely on dark meat, Kagure switches it up and uses white meat for their chicken katsu. I get that some people swear by dark meat for flavor, but honestly? Kagure proves that white meat can be just as juicy, and way cleaner tasting. The breading? Perfectly crispy without being greasy. The seasoning? Simple yet makes you wanting to come back for more. With every bite feeling like a perfect balance of crunch, tenderness and juice.

And the sides?
Don't turn a blind eye to them. The rice is fluffy, the curry is rich without being too salty, and the presentation is clean. It feels like comfort food, but with chef-level precision.

Kagure isn’t trying to be trendy or loud about what it does. It just makes ridiculously good fried chicken, and sometimes that’s all you need. Thank me later.
