Now, what is this blog for? How much do competitions help you is the question raised today. which I am hopeful to partly answer and will tell you some you could play. What are we waiting for? Let's get to it!!!
What type of sections and competitions should you play and why?
First of all. the most Important section you should play is where your rating fits and where you think you will play the best. Playing in a section which is way higher than your rating might make you go to 1900 from 1750 but that gap of 150 points is skipping the base, which means, you skipped 150 points but you MIGHT(maybe) not be as strong but your just having a great game because of your hours of preperation but it doesn't mean you will always gain alot. Might go down to 1840 than go up. Which is making your base more stronger Now, what type of competions should I play? I feel that playing the hardest tournament with decent or no prize money is better than playing a decent tournament with good prize money, because if you get better vs really good players your getting the prizes vs lesser easy players. A tournament(s) investment.
How much do competitions help you?
Competions really do help you by alot we all know it. Playing on chess.com is also very helpful it makes you better which also we all know. I think playing more gives alot of benifits and makes your smarter. I really would like to take a moment and say Thanks to chess.com by orginizing the Players League and the upcoming 2022 Daily Chess Championship and really do reccomend everyone who can to play it its free and its good practice. I would also say CCA is a good orginizer for in real life and on ICC is really good too. it is USCF Rated either online regular (online events) or Regular (OTB events)
