Crazy Puzzle from 1837!!

I was looking for some chess content to watch when I came across this amazing puzzle from 1837! This puzzle was posted by Chess Vibes on YouTube and I knew I really had to share this with the chess.com community. In this position, white actually wins! It is white to move, try and solve it! The solution and explanation is below.




Did you solve it? Here is the solution:

The first move by white is the only winning move: Nh6! This move prevents the pawn on h7 from moving forward. This is crucial since the idea for white is to checkmate with the knight, and this can only be done with a black pawn on h7.

After black plays e3, white plays Kxf7! The black king cannot move and cannot form any escape squares. The only thing black can do is to play e2, hoping white screws up. But white is not fooled, and plays the only move once again, Kf8! Black plays e1=Q but it doesn't matter since white has a beautiful checkmate, Nf7#. Now that is a checkmate you don't see everyday!
