Emanuel Lasker was a German chess player, mathematician, and philosopher who was World Chess Champion for 27 years. Lasker was a good friend of Albert Einstein. A notable play by Emanuel is Max Euwe vs. Lasker, Zurich 1934. Lasker beats a future World Champion, sacrificing his queen to turn defence into attack.
