Chess is all about dominating the opponent's monarch and disintegrating their entire position. This can only be done through vigorous piece co-ordination and the right tactical ideas. In this blog, some of them have been discussed.

Opening Systems

Opening is the first stage of all chess games. This is the stage where the players focus to get all their pieces developed and create certain advantages and differences in their positions.

It is important to get a good opening repertoire that best suits you. For this you need to classify yourself into an aggressive or defensive player. Here are some openings that are classified based on their level of activity.

1. London System

The London System, sometimes known as a "boring opening". It is solid and aggressive at the same time and because of its versatility, can be used against different openings.

2. Vienna Opening

The Vienna is an opening that can be enjoyed by both masters and beginners. This opening provides the player with a great sense of flexibility and power and can almost be used against any opening. Below is my favorite variation of the Vienna.

3. Queen's Gambit Declined

A gambit is an opening which willingly gives away material (mostly a pawn) for advantages like development. This opening gambits the c pawn for more central space.

After you choose an opening that suites you the best. You should proceed to stick with it for at least a year.
