Blocked By A National Master!!

Hello everyone! And I have some exciting news and some confusing news. I have not blogged consistently this year and for those that have missed reading my riveting words I deeply apologize. I know your time without me has been tantalizing and dreadful. To live in a world without ThatMagnetMan blogging, truly the worst timeline to be in!

With me getting the drama queen in me out of my system I wanted to make an announcement. It's no secret that I like showing off my accomplishments in the world of chess, and have had a youtube and twitch channel for awhile. I don't plan on changing my twitch as those videos get deleted anyway but one sad truth of having a youtube channel for 5 years and starting it when I wasn't even an adult is I have memories on it and plenty of unlisted videos and streams that make navigating it a bit difficult, so while I am not going to delete the PrinceNightlen channel on youtube, I'm just going to move my newer stuff and less personal videos to my new channel just named Nightlen, which might be easier for people to find when using the search bar.

I did watch those SEO things you sent me mom! (Search Engine Optimization for you non-nerds reading this.)

Now for you all who want to see the games against this National Master I'm sorry but you're going to have to use this link to watch the youtube video! Considering this NM blocked me after the games I felt it was to cold and didn't show the human element enough to just type out my thoughts into a pgn like I have for other games in the OTB collection that I have from this blog.

Here is the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XY3f2rBM624

And if you're to lazy to click a link I'll try to use the video feature on the chess.com site for the first time to see if I can put the video in a mini player here!

This is the video that I posted to youtube but if it's not to much trouble please consider liking the video and subscribing. I don't recall putting a call to action in the video but outside of it please make sure to do so! And I will be more motivated not only to keep blogging, which let's be honest when a person is as talented as me with their quill it would be simply a tragedy if my hands were to stop putting pen to paper and creating art with my linguistic ability that had been instilled with me from the womb!

I've focused less on chess this month not going to so many tournaments and not socializing in the chess club so much as I have been busy with other things despite that don't fear I am still really dedicated to the art of improving. What's easy to forget in the heat of the moment when you're chasing a rating instead of just playing for the love of the game is chess is truly an art.

Had I been less diligent and merely kept it a casual thing without trying harder it's very possible that I would never even get to the level where I could put up a fight against titled players, but now I'm good enough that against some I'm getting winning positions every game to the point they're so frustrated they just blocked me.

@TheAn0maly I am genuinely curious why you blocked me after it felt we were having a very combative chess match, I don't know if you can see the blogs of people that you have blogged (I meant blocked, but this typo is to funny to let die to proof-reading) on chess.com but if you lick your wounds and recover I hope to hear an explanation one day.

So I leave it to you dear readers, what did you think of the games between this national master and myself? Did you find it entertaining the lowly mere peasant without a title going up against Goliath and taking him down a couple times compelling? Any advice for how I tell my stories when I do recaps like this?

This is a short blog as I wasn't really planning on writing any this month but this was to exciting not to share! Hope to see you in the comments of my future videos, and may you all have a blessed day, thank you!
