Redemption Achieved! (AGC)
So, um, ignoring that first loss, I hit 1600 (again) BUT this is my peak! And the loss WASN'T FIDE rated, SO, I GOT 4/4 THERE, YAYA. (yes ts was fide rated) So, um ill go through all the games, but the 1st and last were the only interesting ones.
Round 1
My brain lwk turned off for this game (ignore me dropping a pawn on move 9) (R2)
I locked in, he fell off (R3)
I went to a friend's for the night, and came back, sort-of refreshed, and locked in. Kind of...
epic buildup for the last round. I was expecting it to be some high rated guy, cuz I was at 3/4, im so tuff fr. But to my shock, it was a provisional 1300 (he was good tho)
Round 5:
That was exhilarating, and fearful. I hope I never throw an easy win like that again.
That was the biggest comeback of my career, (next to something that happened LAST MAY) but if you want a blog on Last May, you can ask for that below. Also, I have another tournament this weekend, it's not gonna be FIDE sadly, but I'll be playing in open. Since I'm 1665 now, if I get 2/4, I hit 1700, and I kaboom, kabluoy!
Wish me luck frfr,
Also about my earlier promises, I didn't finish the Art of Attack in Chess till like April 20th,
but I did get the Woodpecker Method back, so I'll do that.
I'll be done with that by late May, or early June.
OOH, also, I started reading My Great Predecessors - Kasparov, if you've read it, tell me your favorite part!
Ok, that's all, but I forgot to mention that they gave me a check for $220, and I tied for 2nd! Nice, so that was cool, but I have school again, ughh. Something funny though, I wore my luigi cap for the first time in 5 months, and I went up 91 elo, concidence?
2000 USCF, I'm coming for you...
Logging off,
