I made an opening and put it to the test!!!

So I made a blog on this previously but it didn’t answer a lot of questions, such as, why can’t black do this, or why is that good, or even a simple what are you doing????. I’ll answer all your questions!

So let’s get started. Giuoco Piano Game, Four Knights Game. Classic Opening. We respond with d3, making the Bishop's Opening: Berlin, Vienna Hybrid Variation. We butchered the entire opening name, but let’s keep going. Black’s best move is to castle here, but let’s say they take the 5th line with a 4 centipawn loss, d6.

Naturally we go Bishop g5. Pinning the knight to the queen. Now your opponent decides to castle, leaving the board like this.

Now this is an inaccuracy, but it’s common so we’re analyzing it.

Knight d5 is our next move. It puts pressure on the pinned knight. So our opponent plays Be6 for reinforcements. We trade knights, and scare the rook, leaving the board like this.

Knight to h5 is stockfish recommendation, because it allows the queen to do her job. We want that queen on g4 to shove the king in the corner of the board and Simone Biles across the board for checkmate. Worst case scenario for black, that bishop dies and there’s no replacement.

The only way to not rely so heavily on that singular bishop is king h8. But let’s say our opponent plays a5 or something.

We take the bishop with our bishop, and if it is retaken, we move Qg4+, then Qg7# to end the game. So let’s say Black plays king h8. We just castle! Rook goes to g8 to prevent any future quick checkmates, and we enjoy black’s sloppy position. I decided to test my opening against the Hikaru Nakamura Bot!
