The 18-year-old from Pilar (2294) drew with black against international master Gunay Mammadzada (2433), Azerbaijan’s top player. María José Campos (2252) secured a win over Ulviyya Fataluyeva (2378), while Anapaola Borda Rojas (2216) split points with Khanim Balajayeva (2384). Claudia Amura (2191) lost to Gulnar Mammadova (2336).
Led by captain Sebastián Iermito, Argentina—ranked 26th—now has 10 points, tied with India, Turkey, the Netherlands, and Poland.
