Tired of losing your bullet games again and again? You’ve come to the right place! I’m about to show you five bullet games I’ve played and break down each move—along with the motivation behind them.

So, are you ready? Let’s start with the essentials:

Important Habits:

1) Puzzle Rush (3 min):
You’re probably already doing this, but if not, start solving 3-minute Puzzle Rushes! It helps you recognize key positions faster, and that’s what you need in bullet—speed and precision.

2) Play a Real Person, Not a Bot:
Bots on chess.com are sloooow! Sure, you’ll win, but where’s the challenge? And on mobile, bots play like maniacs on speed. So, for real training, face a human.

Crucial Bullet Settings:

1) Pre-Move:
Pre-moving saves precious time, but here’s the trick—don’t pre-move in the opening, because some sneaky players might pull out tricks. Only pre-move when you’re 100% sure they’ll play what you expect.

2) Auto-Queen:
I wouldn’t recommend turning this on unless you’re facing opponents around 500-1000 rating. Why? You could accidentally stalemate them. But hey, if you like living on the edge, it’s your call!

Flagging Tip:

When your opponent is low on time—like under 1 second—don’t just sit back. Give them a check or even sacrifice a piece! This forces them to react, slowing their pre-move game and causing them to lose on time. (Disclaimer: Do this only when they’re practically under 1 second)
