My first blog post!

This is my first blog post, so I will try not to bore you with too much random gibberish (thanks for reading this though). I am not, by any means, a good chess player (I am trying hard to get better!) so I will definitely not give you any advice other than don't hang your queen or mate in one. The reason I am writing this right now is because I am trying to get all the achievements and Soapbox is "You're a blogger now!". So I was like, I guess I'll actually write something and here I am. The other reason is that I am trying to improve my rapid rating as much as I can with my first milestone being 1000. Right now, I have done 41 achievements, and my rapid rating is 926. Some of the achievements will be very difficult/impossible without a premium membership like videos, puzzles, lessons, etc. but I am committed to trying my best. Also, chess.com was being very annoying because they would not give me credit for playing some variants. So that might end up just being a bug or turning some achievements impossible. Thank you for reading this and not clicking out after the first sentence (you were probably tempted).

P.S. If anyone out there wants to get the Gift Wrap achievement (gift someone else a membership) I would be the perfect choice because of the impact it would have on me. Thanks
